The Grithaus CrossFit CLT, a training system and lifestyle that builds strength and conditioning through varied workouts, has signed a lease at Madison Corners. Local real estate firm New Forum, Inc. launched the dedicated platform, New Forum Partners, focused exclusively on new development and acquisitions in Summer 2018.

The Grithaus CrossFit CLT will occupy 5,200 square feet of retail space located at 5033 South Blvd., Suite A, in the neighborhood retail center. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability. Workouts can be adapted for people at any age and level of fitness. Each day the workout will test a different part of your functional strength or conditioning, not specializing in one particular thing, but rather with the goal of building a body that’s capable of practically anything and everything. The CrossFit lifestyle combines diet and exercise for long-term health. The fitness concept will hire between 6-10 employees ranging from management and part-time positions. Construction at The Grithaus CrossFit CLT will begin within the next 45 days and is moving from their current location on South Tryon where they had a successful business for nine years. The Grithaus CrossFit CLT’s new location is set to open by Q3 2020.

“We are a place that changes people’s lives through health and fitness,” said Kevin Steinhaus, Managing Partner at The Grithaus CrossFit CLT. “It does not matter where someone is in their fitness level, we are able to make changes to improve their overall health and fitness. We are looking for people that are happy, hungry, and humble and want to not only kick butt in their 20s and 30s but also their 70s, 80s, and 90s.”

Future members will have the option to sign up online, on the phone, or in person. Each new member will go through an initial consultation to discuss with a certified trainer their goals, guidelines, and expectations.

“We are so excited to have GritHaus CrossFit choose Madison Corners,” said William Hodges of New Forum Partners. “This is the ideal type of fitness tenant we envisioned when we upgraded the property and are excited Kevin chose to re-locate their business to the Madison Park community.”

Madison Corners is a 34,710-square-foot retail strip center and a 6,600-square-foot outparcel. It has received over $1 million in capital improvements. The renovation includes a re-designed exterior, landscaping, parking lot improvements, new roof, new painting & wood features & signage.

Madison Corners is in the heart of the rapidly growing Madison Park, Montclaire and Archdale communities, approximately three miles northwest of South Park and seven miles south of Uptown Charlotte.  More than 91,700 residents earning an average household income of $103,279 live within a three-mile radius of the center.
