Leasing Consultant

The Leasing Consultant works directly with the Leasing Manager and is responsible for maintaining occupancy within our 276-unit independent senior living community in Pineville, NC. This is accomplished through maintenance of the sales funnel, continual prospecting of leads, excellent customer service and ongoing training and development. The Leasing Consultant contributes to the overall success of the Dorchester and Manor by being proactive in driving the leasing process forward.

Essential Functions

· Efficiently manages the leasing pipeline, ensuring quick follow-up on leads

· Engages with prospects through in-bound and out-bound calls and invites them to tour the community

· Manages tour volume, reporting on status of leads and resident data as required

· Sets up and carries out marketing campaigns both on-site and in the community

· Collects security deposits, application fees, application packets and any other materials required to coordinate the move-in of a new resident in the community

· Participates in community outreach and network to grow referral network

· Maintains required occupancy levels, staying current with local, state, and federal laws (Fair Housing)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is a full-time, permanent position. Daily work schedule may change according to the needs of the community, but a typical schedule is 40 hours/week.

Travel Requirements

Travel for training is occasional. Various trips within the Charlotte area may be necessary for community business (professional socials/mixers, etc.)

Required Education and Experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a leasing role with similar responsibilities

  • 2-3 years’ experience with leasing software

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of Yardi software is strongly preferred

  • Experience working in senior leasing is a large plus
